	Remove/install
1	Relieve fuel pressure using diagnostic system.
			AD00.00-P-2000-06ME
2	Remove the high pressure fuel pump shielding (1).	Do not install the upper engine cover and center as well as rear, lower engine compartment lining until you have successfully completed the leak test.	AR07.02-P-1028MRK
3	Remove charge-air distributor.		AR09.41-P-8683MRK
4	Unclip coolant line (4) from the bracket (3).
5	Unclip bleed line (5) from the bracket (3) and place to one side.
6	Remove screws (2).	Screw, rear engine cover holder to cylinder head	*BA01.10-P-1001-01F
7	Remove cable duct (10).
Topical note	Notes on bolted connections with self tapping screws	Do not crush or kink or subject lines to tension. This would lead to damage to the lines and can impair their function. Ensure that the cable duct (10) and bracket (3) are seated correctly.	AH00.00-P-0007-01SF
		Screw, cable duct to transmission bell housing	*BA27.10-P-1029-04H
8	Remove bracket (3) from the cable duct (10) and remove bracket (3).
9	Remove bottom fuel hose from low-pressure line (9), collect escaping fuel in a suitable container, and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.	Replace fuel hose. Record plug	Fig 2

10	Remove screw (6) and fasten bracket (7) to the vehicle so that it is free of tension.	Do not crush or kink or subject lines to tension. This would lead to damage to the lines and can impair their function. Screw, purge valve holder to crankcase	*BA07.03-P-1005-01I
11	Remove screws (8).	Screw, low-pressure line holder to cylinder head/crankcase/holder	*BA07.03-P-1002-01I
12	Remove low-pressure line (9) from the high pressure fuel pump and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

13	Remove low-pressure line (9).
	Check

		Assembly cleaner If damage is present: ↓ replace the low-pressure line (9).	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
15	Install in the reverse order
	Concluding tasks
	Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.	Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.	AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
16	Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
