  Perform adjustments to the control system Switch dynamometer test on and off. AR54.30-P-1000-02QQ

  1. Switch on dynamometer test via steering wheel buttons.

    IMPORTANT In order to avoid measurement errors due to an active brake intervention of the Electronic Stability Program (Electronic-Stability-Program) (ESP).

    IMPORTANT Do not switch off ESP by means of ESP Sport Off AMG button (S193/1)

  2. Drive the vehicle with the rear axle onto the roller brake test stand and shift the transmission into position "N" with the engine running

    NOTES Have the wheels of the rear axle driven for at least 10 s by the roller brake test stand. In order to prevent damage, thereupon the brake shoes make contact in a slow manner.

  3. Press electric parking brake switch (S76/15) once briefly.

    IMPORTANT The brake shoes are applied to the parking brake drums within 8 s, the roller brake test stand switches off.

  4. Loosen parking brake by pulling electric parking brake switch (S76/15)
  5. Allow parking brake to cool down for approx. 3 minutes.
  6. Repeat the process 3 times.

    NOTES In order to avoid damage to the brake system, it is essential to comply with cooling down phases.

  7. Drive the vehicle off the roller brake test stand.
  8. Switch off dynamometer test.

    IMPORTANT If the roller brake test stand is not available, condition parking brake using STAR DIAGNOSIS. Run through the following steps: Select menu item "chassis"/"EFB-electric parking brake"/"commissioning"/"bed in the brakes". Then process all the individual steps.
