1. Install bottom rear-end center section (1) and fit.

   Helper required.

2. Install liftgate seal.
3. Install striker eye.
4. Check gap dimensions using feeler gauge and adjust.
5. Fix bottom rear center section (1) in place.
6. Remove striker eye.
7. Remove liftgate seal.
8. Drill rivet holes in lower rear-end center section (1) with Ø 6.7 mm (areas A).

9. Drill rivet holes in lower rear-end center section (1) with Ø 6.7 mm through existing holes in body (areas b).

   The operation step is shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle.

10. Drill hole for plug welding in rear-end center section outer section (1) with Ø 8.0 mm through one panel thickness (area C).

    The operation step is shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle.

11. Remove bottom rear center section (1).
12. Deburr rivet holes on bottom rear center section (1) and body on both sides.
13. Remove drilling chips.
14. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

15. Install bottom rear center section (1) and fix in place.

    Helper required.

16. Rivet lower rear-end center section (1) with rivets Ø 6.5x12.5 (area D₁ ).
17. Rivet lower rear-end center section (1) with rivets Ø 6.5x14.5 (areas D₂ ).
18. Lower rear-end center section (1) (area E).

    The following operation steps 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be similarly performed on the right side of the vehicle.

19. Rivet lower rear-end center section (1) with rivets Ø 6.4x12 (areas F₁ ).
20. Rivet lower rear-end center section (1) with rivets Ø 6.5x12.5 (area F₂ ).
21. Bottom rear-end center section (1) (area G).
22. Bottom rear-end center section (1) (area H).
23. Bottom rear-end center section (1) (areas J).
24. Lower rear-end center section (1) (area K).
