Remove/Install Seal For Sliding Roof Panel - AR77.21-P-0560ME

WARNING Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
  Remove/install all-round seal (1)     
1 Remove sliding roof panel.   AR77.21-P-0500ME 
2 Remove all-round seal (1). IMPORTANT All-round seal (1) is bonded into place.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace all-round seal (1).
Align all-round seal (1), glue on and press on with roller.
SPECIAL TOOL Roller

3 Remove adhesive residues at panoramic sliding sunroof frame using a surface conditioning disk and clean bonding surface.    
Topical note  Notes on removing adhesive residues and foils on paint and metal surfaces with surface conditioning disks IMPORTANT Only use cleaning spray indicated in the EPC. AH00.00-P-0013-01AK
4 Install in the reverse order.    
  Remove/install rear seal (7)     
5 Remove sliding roof panel.   AR77.21-P-0500ME 
6 Remove rear seal (7). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Observe alignment.
Align rear seal (7) and press on with roller.
SPECIAL TOOL Roller

7 Install in the reverse order.    
  Remove/install inner rear seal (5)     
8 Remove sliding roof panel.   AR77.21-P-0500ME 
9 Remove rear inside seal (5). IMPORTANT The rear inside seal (5) is bonded.  
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install new rear inside seal (5).
Align rear inside seal (5), glue on, and press on with roller.

10 Remove adhesive residues at panoramic sliding sunroof frame using a surface conditioning disk and clean bonding surface.    
Topical note  Notes on removing adhesive residues and foils on paint and metal surfaces with surface conditioning disks IMPORTANT Only use cleaning spray indicated in the EPC. AH00.00-P-0013-01AK
11 Install in the reverse order.    
  Remove/install front inside seal (3)     
12 Open sliding roof panel.    
13 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).    
14 Remove front inside seal (3). NOTES
Handle front inside seal (3) carefully.
In order to prevent damage.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Observe alignment.
 
15 Check front inside seal (3) for damage. If damage is detected,

replace front inside seal (3).
 
16 Install in the reverse order.    
  Remove/install front seal (6)     
17 Open sliding roof panel.    
18 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).    
19 Remove front seal (6). NOTES
Handle front seal (6) carefully
In order to prevent damage.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Observe alignment.
 
20 Check front seal (6) for damage. If damage is detected,

Replace front seal (6).
 
21 Install in the reverse order.
