- Cut back adhesive bead (1) at body flanges (3) using a scraper to a residual height of approx. 1 to 2 mm.
- Fully cut back residues of spacers (2) and adhesive bead (1) present in this area.
- Remove cutting residues at body flanges (3) using wet and dry vacuum cleaners.
- Repair paintwork damage at body flanges (3).
Use only primer filler approved by Daimler AG: http://xentryportal.i.daimler.com
- Apply primer in case of missing residual adhesive material in bonding area.
Apply primer only after primer has dried.
Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.
The primer is included in the repair kit.
- Once primer has dried, glue new spacers (2) onto body flanges (3).
