| 2 | Unhook electrical wiring harness (2) from soft top canvas (1) | ||
| 3 | Release electrical wiring harness of dome lamp from soft top canvas (1) | Model 238.4 | |
| 4 | Knock off rivets (3) on left and right tab (4) and remove rivet residues | ||
| 5 | Loosen left and right shackle (4) | ||
| 6 | Remove adhesive strips on cable ends of left and right soft top canvas tensioning cable (5) and detach cable ends | ||
| 7 | Pull left and right soft top canvas tension cable (5) out of front shackle (6) toward rear | ||
| 8 | Unhook edge stripping (7) and unhook soft top canvas (1) from hooks (8) | ||
| 9 | Knock off rivet (9) on shackle (10) and front lateral cable (11) on left and right side of vehicle and remove rivet residues | ||
| 10 | Unhook expansion rivet (14) on left and right side of vehicle and unhook shackle (15) | ||
| 11 | Loosen seal (12) on left and right rail (13) | Ensure that upper and lower pin are seated correctly in rail (13). |

| 12 | Pry out terminal strip (16) on left and right rail (13) | Remove clips (17) from left and right rail (13) and install terminal strip (16) on old imprints. Align terminal strip (16) on rail (13) at top and press into end stop. |

| 13 | Move soft top manually to repair position R2 | Manually move soft top to repair position R3. |

| 14 | Knock off rivet (18) on left and right rear lateral cable (19) and remove rivet residues | ||
| 15 | Pull left and right soft top canvas tension cable (5) out of rear shackle (20) toward rear | ||
| 16 | Loosen seal (12) from soft top bow (21) and remove | Observe installation position of clips (22). Ensure that pin (23) is seated correctly in bracket (24). |

| 17 | Detach edge stripping (25) from soft top bow (21) | ||
| 18 | Support soft top bow (21) using suitable aids (26) and raise soft top canvas (1) at rear | ||
| 19 | Disconnect electrical connector (27) on left and right side of vehicle and expose electrical line | ||
| 20 | Unscrew bolt (28) on left and right retaining frame (29) on rear window (30) and fold rear window (30) upward | Observe sequence of sleeves and windows. |

| 21 | Knock rivet (31) off of left and right shackle (32) and remove rivet residues | Model 205.4 | |
| 22 | Fold rear window (30) toward front | ||
| 23 | Knock off rivets (33) on left and right on soft top bow (34) and remove rivet residues | ||
| 24 | Remove left and right stop plugs (35) from rear soft top bow (34) and collect rivet residues | Model 205.4 | |
| 25 | Detach soft top canvas (1) on the front three soft top bows | Adhesive residue must be removed without trace before the attachment of new adhesive strips. Center soft top canvas (1) together with a helper. The openings in the fabric tabs must coincide with the bores on the soft top bow. |
