The bonding area must be free of dust and grease.

Otherwise, the adhesive force of the adhesive material will be impaired.

If the degree of damage is <10 %, repair with primer stick. If the degree of damage is ≥ 10 %, coat body flange with primer filler.

Otherwise corrosion damage may occur.

Use only primer fillers and primer sticks approved by Daimler AG:

Model 463 as of model year 2019 Use the repair kit specified in the appropriate Mercedes' EPC.

Level residual adhesive material on body flange (1) down to a height of approx. 2 mm using suitable scraper and remove loose adhesive material.
Clean working area.
Clean bonding area (2) on body flange (1) with cleaner and rub dry with dry cloth.
Repair paint damage in bonding area (2) and on body flange (1) with primer stick or primer filler.
Observe the manufacturer's specifications for the curing and processing time of the primer filler.
Apply primer to areas of body flange (1) where no remaining or damaged adhesive is present.

The primer must flash off for at least 10 min.

Otherwise, the adhesive force of the adhesive material will be impaired.
