  1. Position wiper arms in reversing position.
  2. Remove angle gauge (A) from the SPECIAL TOOL adjustment tool set.
    1. Model 167, 223

      with code 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL, heated) Insert SPECIAL TOOL adapter (B) into guide of angle gauge (A) and attach with screw.

    2. Model 167, 223

      except code 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL, heated) Insert SPECIAL TOOL adapter (C) into guide of angle gauge (A) and attach with screw.

    1. Model 167, 223

      with code 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL, heated)

      Slide SPECIAL TOOL adapter (B) with angle gauge (A) onto wiper blade mount of wiper arm (1) to be adjusted and attach with screw.

    2. Model 167, 223

      except code 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL, heated)

      Slide SPECIAL TOOL adapter (C) with angle gauge (A) onto wiper blade mount of the wiper arm (1) that is to be adjusted and attach with screw.

  5. Lower wiper arm (1) to be adjusted carefully onto windshield.

    IMPORTANT All three contact points at the foot of the angle gauge (A) must make contact with the windshield.

  6. IMPORTANT Read off the angle of incidence of the wiper arm (1) to be adjusted on the scale of the angle gauge (A), note down and compare to the corresponding specified value.

    1. Model 167, 223

      with code 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL, heated)

      Raise wiper arm (1) to be adjusted and remove angle gauge (A) together with SPECIAL TOOL adapter (B).

    2. Model 167, 223

      except code 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL, heated)

      Raise the wiper arm (1) that is to be adjusted and remove angle gauge (A) together with SPECIAL TOOL adapter (C).

  8. Raise wiper arms (1), cover with appropriate aids (scratch protection) and set down on windshield.
  9. Move wiper arms (1) to park position and remove aids (scratch protection) from wiper arms (1).

    NOTES When switching from the reversing position to the parking position, ensure that the wiper arms (1) do not touch the windshield.

    Damage can occur to the windshield otherwise.

  10. Repeat test procedures 4 to 7 at the wiper arm (1) to be adjusted in parked position.
