| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Remove upper engine cover. | AR01.10-P-2405MRI | |
| 2 | Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect. | ||
| 3 | Remove screws (2). | *BA05.20-P-1005-05A | |
| 4 | Remove the intake camshaft valve lift changeover actuator (Y49/8). | ||
| 5 | Check that both pins of intake camshaft valve lift adjustment actuator (Y49/8) are retracted. | Do not pull out the pins of the intake camshaft valve lift switching actuator (Y49/8). Otherwise this will cause damage. If problems exist, ↓ Replace the intake camshaft valve lift switching actuator (Y49/8). |

| 7 | Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness. |
