Remove/Install Retaining Lock For Crankshaft/Ring Gear - AR03.30-P-5001MRI

	Remove/install
1	Remove center and rear sections of lower engine compartment lining.		AR61.20-P-1105LW
2.1	Remove the starter opening cover on the crankcase.	Engine 264 in model 205, 253 with code B01 (48V technology) Bolt, starter/cover for starter opening to crankcase	*BA15.30-P-1001-01U
2.2	Remove starter (M1).	Engine 264 in model 205, 253 except code B01 (48V technology)	AR15.30-P-7100MRI
3	Insert retaining lock (1) into starter opening until it engages with starter ring gear.	Retaining lock	Fig 1
		Socket wrench bit If retaining lock (1) cannot be inserted, ↓ Remove the charge air cooler while its lines remain connected, place it at the front and crank the engine using the center bolt of the crankcase.	Fig 2

4	Install in the reverse order.
