The following work procedure is shown on a left-hand drive vehicle; the work procedure may deviate on right-hand drive vehicles.
- Remove violet supporting body (2.1) from adapter line (2).
- Connect violet 1-pin plug (1.2) of antenna line (1.1) to violet 1-pin connector socket (2.2) of adapter line (2).
- Wrap felt tape around antenna line (1.1) and adapter line (2).
- Stick Velcro strip (3) onto top of GPS antenna (1).
Adhesive tape with red carrier foil is already attached to the bottom side of GPS antenna (1).
- Detach carrier foil from Velcro strip (3).
- Glue GPS antenna (1) into device installation frame of instrument cluster.
- Route antenna line (1.1) and adapter line (2) into device installation frame of head unit (A26/17) and fix in place with cable ties.
- Stick foam pads (5) between GPS antenna (1) and instrument panel.
- Remove blue 2-pin connector socket (4) from head unit (A26/17).
- Install adapter line (2) into blue 2-pin connector socket (4).
- Mount blue 2-pin connector socket (4) onto head unit (A26/17).
