| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (at least 2 m). | ||

| 3 | Unscrew screws (3) from center console cover (1). | ||
| 4 | Lift center console cover (1) at rear and extend at top front at instrument panel until electrical connectors (4, 5) can be accessed. | Cover center console and instrument panel with a cloth. Center console and instrument panel may otherwise be damaged. |

| 6 | Disconnect electrical connector (5) at upper control panel control unit (N72/1). | ||
| 7 | Disconnect electrical connectors (6, 7, 8). | ||
| 8 | Remove center console cover (1). | ||
| 9 | Install in the reverse order. |
