1. Expose spot welds on connecting carrier (1) and cut out (areas A).
2. Expose spot welds on the connecting carrier (1) and drill through with a diameter of 6.5 mm (areas B).
3. Bend up connecting flanges (arrows).
4. Remove connecting carrier (1).

5. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Grind mating surfaces on the insides down to bare metal (areas C).

6. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
7. Apply zinc dust paint to crosshatched areas.
