Check Engine Oil Level With Instrument Cluster - AP18.00-P-1812MFA

WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
WARNING Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it.
Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.
Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
  Preparatory activity     
1 Call up Workshop level in instrument cluster.   AP00.20-P-0046C
2 Start engine. IMPORTANT Vehicle must be on a level surface.  
3 Make swipe movements on the finger navigation pad to select the "Vehicle data" menu item in the workshop menu.    
INSPECT Check     
4 Check engine oil level in "Vehicle data" menu by swiping upward on finger navigation pad. IMPORTANT To record a valid measurement value run the engine from the start for at least 120 seconds. Engine oil temperature must be > 60°C.
IMPORTANT As long as "For the maximum oil level, refill -.- l" is shown on the multifunction display, the oil level measurement is not complete and the displayed oil level is not valid.
If the displayed value displays an engine oil level exceedance of max. 0.1 l or engine oil level shortfall of max. 0.2 l,

engine oil level OK.
If the displayed value exceeds the engine oil level by > 0.1 l,

drain excess quantity of oil and repeat test from operation step 1.
 
    If the displayed value undershoots the engine oil level by > 0.2 l,

top up following quantity of oil and repeat test from operation step 1.

  Finishing activity     
5 Exit workshop level in instrument cluster.   AP00.20-P-0046C
6 Switch off engine.
