1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

6	Remove screws (14) and slide exhaust tailpipes (15) towards rear.	Engine 260 in model 118, 177, 247 with code P60 (AMG Night package) with code U55 (Multi-link axle)
7	Remove screws (2).
8	Remove screw (16).
9	Remove temperature sensor upstream of gasoline particulate filter (B163/4) and secure on vehicle so that free of tension. 10	Remove lines (8) of low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation differential pressure sensor (B28/18) from gasoline particulate filter (9).	Do no kink, crush or subject lines (8) to tension. This will otherwise result in damage and function impairments.

11	Seal openings with suitable stop plug.	Record plug	Fig 2
12	Remove nut (3).	When replacing exhaust system and/or elastomer bearings.
13	Unscrew screws (5) and remove rear reinforcement (4).
14	Remove front reinforcement (6).
15	Remove nuts from bolts (10).
16	Remove screws (11).
17	Secure entire exhaust system against falling down, slightly lower rear muffler (1), lift front exhaust system over bolts (10) and remove.

	Install
18	Remove combustion and corrosion residues at front flange.	Replace seal at front flange.
19	Check front and rear elastomer bearing for damage.	If the elastomer bearings are damaged, ↓ replace elastomer bearing.
20	Lift entire exhaust system, guide front elastomer bearing over bolts (10), support exhaust system on rear muffler (1) and secure against falling down.

21	Secure brackets of rear muffler (1) using screws (2) to substructure. 25	Attach rear reinforcement (4) and slightly tighten screws (5) by hand.

27	Slightly tighten screws (11) by hand.
28	Align exhaust system so that free of tension.
