  Preparatory activity     
1 Close hood, doors and the trunk lid or liftgate.    
2 Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "1" (circuit 15R). IMPORTANT No fault messages are allowed to appear on the driver's display (4).  
  Open workshop level     
3 Press "Main menu" button (2). IMPORTANT The main menu appears on the driver's display (4).  
4 Use swipe movements on the finger navigation pad (3) to select the "Trip" menu item on the driver's display (4).    
5 Press and hold the "Main menu" button (2) for at least 5 s. Then let go of it completely and, within 1 s, press and hold the "OK" button on the finger navigation pad (3) for 3 s.    
6 Press "Main menu" button (2). IMPORTANT The main menu appears on the driver's display (4).  
7 Use swipe movements to the left on the finger navigation pad (3) to select the "Workshop" menu item in the driver's display (4). IMPORTANT The Workshop menu with the menu items is shown on the driver display (4): "Vehicle data", "ASSYST PLUS",
And other equipment-dependent menu items.
 
  Close workshop level     
8 Press "Main menu" button (2) and close "Workshop" menu. IMPORTANT The main menu appears on the driver's display (4).  
  Finishing activity     
9 Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0".
