General
The electrical child safety lock cancels all requests that are triggered via the rear power window switches. It prevents the window lifters and where appl. the roller sunblinds of the rear side windows from being operated by the rear seat passengers. Children can thus not put themselves or other persons in danger by closing the closing the side windows and where appl. the roller sunblinds of the side windows.
Function
The driver can activate/deactivate the electrical child safety lock via the child safety lock switch in the driver power window switch group. The active electrical child safety lock is shown via a LED in the child safety lock switch. An already active actuation that was triggered via the rear power window switches is immediately canceled. All other requests via the rear power window switches are ignored. The window lifters and where appl. the roller sunblinds of the rear side windows can only be operated via the driver power window switch group.
If the status of the child safety lock switch can not be reliably defined, the system cancels the requests via the rear power window switches. The electrical child safety lock is then permanently active.
