The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage, these steps must be similarly performed on the right side of the vehicle.
The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

- Expose spot welds at side wall reinforcement (1) and cut off (areas A, B, C and D).
- Remove side wall reinforcement (1).
- Sand down to bare metal connection surfaces in the cross-hatched areas on both sides.
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
- Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges. onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling.
