Remove/Install Wheels - AR40.10-P-1100XG

  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
  toppling off of the lifting platform. position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

  Notes on safety-relevant components   AH00.00-Z-0019-01A
  Preparatory tasks     
1 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-P-1006A
2.1 Remove wheel trim. If installed.  
2.2 Remove screw-on AMG hub covers in center lock design. If installed.
IMPORTANT The socket wrench for the AMG hub covers in the center lock design is located in the vehicle tool kit.		  
REMOVING Remove     
3 Remove wheel and tire assemblies (1). IMPORTANT Use commercially available devices/tools only for GERMANY ONLY a wheel lift dolly (2) with a rim size from 17".  
INSPECT Check     
4 Check and clean threaded wheel connection components, if necessary and protect against corrosion. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Before mounting a wheel and tire assembly (1), remove minor soiling using a rag. Check there is sufficient heat-resistant lubricating paste on wheel hub, apply more if necessary.
Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20 If extensive soiling is present,

perform thorough cleaning and anti-corrosion protection measures.		 *BR00.45-Z-1005-06A

REFER TO MAINTENANCE		 Check condition of wheel and tire assemblies (1). On the wheel and tire assemblies (1) to be installed.
IMPORTANT Damage, such as crack formation, tire tread depth.		 AP40.10-P-4051EW 
INSTALLING Install     
6 Mount wheel and tire assemblies (1). IMPORTANT Use commercially available devices/tools only for GERMANY ONLY a wheel lift dolly (2) with a rim size from 17".
INSTALLATION IMPORTANTInstallation:  Note tightening sequence (A - E) and the different tightening torque of the wheel bolts.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Wheel bolt to steel rim		 *BA40.10-P-1001-01D 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Wheel bolt to light alloy rim *BA40.10-P-1002-01D 
7.1 Mount wheel trim. If installed.  
7.2 Mount screw-on AMG hub covers in center lock design. If installed.
IMPORTANT The socket wrench for the AMG hub covers in the center lock design is located in the vehicle tool kit.		  
8 Lower the vehicle.   AR00.60-P-1006A

REFER TO MAINTENANCE		 Correct tire pressure on front and rear axle. Only when changing tire. AP40.15-P-4061A

REFER TO MAINTENANCE		 Restart tire pressure monitor (TPM) or tire pressure loss warning via the instrument cluster. Only when changing tire. AP40.15-P-4069U 
11 Check maximum speed limitation in instrument cluster, correct if necessary. Only when changing tire.
IMPORTANT Note tire speed rating.
IMPORTANT An appropriate adhesive label must be attached in the driver's field of view if the permissible maximum speed of an M+S tire is below the maximum speed of the vehicle.
