  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
WARNING Risk of injury.  Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
  Preparatory activity

REFER TO TESTING AND REPAIR		 Lift vehicle with lifting platform.   AR00.60-P-1006A
INSPECT Check     
2 Check front shock absorbers (1) for fluid loss. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools. 
Swiveling inspection mirror with lighting, comparable to inspection mirror Hazet 1977-1
TORQUE SPECIFICATION A light oil film on the front piston rods (2) of the front shock absorbers (1) is permissible. If problems are determined,
↓
rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		 AP32.00-P-3255-01A 
3 Check front piston rods (2) for surface damage, corrosion and deformation. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools. 
Swiveling inspection mirror with lighting, comparable to inspection mirror Hazet 1977-1 If problems are determined,
↓
rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
4 Check that the front steel springs (3) are correctly seated in the front spring retainers (4). IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
5 Check front steel springs (3) for fractures. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
6 Check that front boots (5) are correctly seated and are not damaged. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
7 Check front elastomer bearings (6) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing on front shock absorbers (1). IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT The front elastomer bearings (6) must be seated with zero clearance in the housing eye and they may not be cracked or damaged. If problems are determined,
↓
rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		 AP32.00-P-3255-01A 
8 Check that electrical connectors (13) and electric lines (14) of front adaptive damping adjustment are undamaged and are routed and secured correctly. Model 463 as of model year 2019 with code A20 (Suspension with Adaptive Damping system)
IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
9 Check rear shock absorbers (7) for fluid loss. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT A light oil film on the rear piston rods (8) of the rear shock absorbers (7) is permissible. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.

10 Check rear piston rods (8) for surface damage corrosion and deformation. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
11 Check that the rear steel springs (9) are correctly seated in the rear spring retainers (10). IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
12 Check rear steel springs (9) for fractures. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

13 Check that rear boots (11) are correctly seated and are not damaged. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
14 Check rear elastomer bearings (12) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing on rear shock absorbers (7). IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT The rear elastomer bearings (12) must be seated with zero clearance in the housing eye and they may not be cracked or damaged. If problems are determined,

15 Check that electrical connectors (15) and electric lines (16) of rear adaptive damping adjustment are undamaged and are routed and secured correctly. Model 463 as of model year 2019 with code A20 (Suspension with Adaptive Damping system)
