- The markings on the Pitman arm shaft, Pitman arm and the housing must line up.
The front wheels must be set to the straight-ahead position.
- Install the universal joint (3)
so that the clamping groove lines up with the marking (1) on the steering gear housing.
This refers to the basic setting. Check or conduct the basic setting after adjusting the hydraulic steering limiter. The marking (2) on the shaft of the steering worm is not available on all steering gears.
