	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
	Remove/install
1	Commission Weight Sensing System (WSS) control unit (N110).	Only when replacing the Weight Sensing System (WSS) control unit (N110).	AD00.00-P-2000-04B

2	Extend thigh rest (15) by approx. 4 cm.	Only for seat cushion fore/aft adjustment.
3	Remove driver or front passenger seat.		AR91.10-P-1000XG
4	Remove trim from seat frame.		AR91.10-P-1200XG
5	Disconnect connector coupling (7).
6	Release catch hooks (8) and remove airbag electrical connector (3) from holder (4).
7	Use suitable tool to release seat belt reminder warning electrical connector (9) and remove from airbag electrical connector (3).	Carefully remove seat belt warning electrical connector (9). Otherwise, damage may occur to the seat belt warning electrical connector (9).
8	Disconnect electrical connector from Weight Sensing System (WSS) (10).
9	Remove bolt (11).
10	Release catches (arrows A) using a suitable tool, detach thigh support (15) and place onto seat cushion (1).	Only for seat cushion fore/aft adjustment. Note routing of electrical wiring harness (12). Note positioning of hooks (13, 14).
11	Unhook piping (16).	Only for seat cushion fore/aft adjustment. Extraction hook	Fig 3
12	Remove thigh rest (15).	With seat cushion fore/aft adjustment.
13	Expose electrical wiring harnesses of seat cushion (1) and disconnect their electrical connectors.	Fix the electrical wiring harnesses onto seat adjustment unit so that the front seat can be adjusted without any restrictions. The number of electrical connectors and wiring harnesses varies to match the vehicle equipment.
14	Unhook rear left footwell lamp (E17/17) or rear right footwell lamp (E17/18) from seat adjustment unit, and place to one side with electric line attached.
15	Unhook staple wire (17) from hook (arrows B).	Only for seat cushion fore/aft adjustment.
16	Unhook terminal strips (5, 6).	Extraction hook	Fig 3
17	Unhook cover (18) from hook (arrow C).	Only for seat cushion fore/aft adjustment.
18	Unhook piping (2) all way round seat cushion cover.	Hook in piping (2) starting at corners. Extraction hook	Fig 3
19	Place thigh rest (15) back onto mount.	Only for seat cushion fore/aft adjustment.
20	Remove seat cushion (1).
21	Remove sensor mat with Weight Sensing System (WSS) control unit (N110) from seat adjustment unit.	When replacing seat cushion (1) of front passenger seat. Remove transport protection from new seat cushion (1). Remove sensor mat with weight sensing system (WSS) control unit (N110) from new seat cushion (1) and install on seat adjustment unit. The seat cushion (1) with Weight Sensing System (WSS) consisting of a cover, padding, a Weight Sensing System (WSS) control unit (N110) and a sensor mat. In a repair case, the seat cushion (1) with weight sensing system (WSS) must be completely replaced. The new part is pre-calibrated.
22	Remove seat belt warning sensor.	When replacing seat cushion (1) of front passenger seat.	AR91.60-P-0720XG
23	Expose electrical wiring harness (12) and disconnect its electrical connector.	Only for seat cushion fore/aft adjustment. Fix electrical wiring harness (12) on seat adjustment unit so that unrestricted adjustment of the front seat and the thigh support (15) is possible.
24	Remove thigh rest (15).	Only for seat cushion fore/aft adjustment.
25	Install in reverse order.
