Remove/Install Right Fuel Pressure Sensor - AR07.04-P-0202XGA

Engine 176 in model 463 

as of model year 2019

  Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury  to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

  Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by fuel spraying out at high pressure Keep all ignition sources out of hazard area. Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized. AS07.16-Z-0001-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Disconnect battery ground line   AR54.10-P-0003XG
2 Remove left-hand air filter housing   AR09.10-P-1151XGA
3 Remove noise insulation above left cylinder head cover    
4 Relieve fuel pressure over diagnostic socket   AR07.03-P-1460-01XGA 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Dust protection cap to service connection *BA07.03-P-1005-01H 
    SPECIAL TOOL Pressure hose Fig 3
5 Remove right air filter housing   AR09.10-P-1152XGA
6 Remove noise insulation above right cylinder head cover    
7 Release and disconnect electrical connector at right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1)    
8 Clean rail in the area of right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1) NOTES
Ensure absolute cleanliness when working on the high-pressure fuel circuit. Use only lint-free cleaning cloths
Damage will occur otherwise on the high-pressure fuel circuit.
 
    Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
9 Cover area around right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1) with suitable rags and carefully slightly release right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1) IMPORTANT Wear oil-resistant, fiber-free gloves lined with rubber.  
    SPECIAL TOOL Box wrench attachment, 27_mm Fig 2
10 Remove right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Install new right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1).
IMPORTANT Collect exuded fuel using a suitable absorbent rag.
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Pressure transducer to fuel distributor *BA07.52-P-1002-01J 
    SPECIAL TOOL Box wrench attachment, 27_mm Fig 2
11 Install in the reverse order    
12 Read out and erase fault memory    
REFER TO SELF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
13 Check fuel high-pressure circuit for leaktightness    
REFER TO SELF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
      AR07.03-P-1010-04MM 
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
14 Perform an engine test run and check engine for proper operation and leaktightness
