| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Unlock and unplug electrical connector (3) at brake fluid level switch. | ||
| 2 | Unscrew cap (2) and remove sieve from brake fluid reservoir (1). | ||
| 3 | Suction off brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir (1). | Protect the painted surfaces from brake fluid. Otherwise the vehicle paint can be damaged. |

| 5 | Pull brake fluid reservoir (1) out of master brake cylinder (6) and seal off connections using a stop plug. | Collect brake fluid which runs out with an absorbent rag. Otherwise the vehicle paint can be damaged. |

| 6 | Install in reverse order. | ||

| 7 | Correct fluid level in brake fluid reservoir (1). | ||
| 8 | Check area around brake fluid reservoir (1) for leaktightness. |
