	Remove/install
	Risk of poisoning  from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  from skin and eye contact with brake fluid	Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.	Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A

1	Turn key in ignition lock to position "0"
2	Open hood	Model 463 as of model year 2015 up to model year 2019	AR88.40-P-1000GG
3	Release and disconnect electrical connector (2) on brake fluid reservoir (5).
	Clean
4	Clean area surrounding brake line connections on master brake cylinder (7)	Before opening the brake system, the surrounding area of the separating point must be thoroughly cleaned. Only use clean, lint-free rags and cleaners free of mineral oils. Do not use any compressed-air for cleaning when the brake system is open. Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the brake system. Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
5	Suction off brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir (5)
6	Detach brake lines (6) from master brake cylinder (7)	Seal connections immediately with stop plugs in order to avoid larger quantities of brake fluid from escaping. Collect escaping brake fluid with a suitable container.

7	Remove vacuum line (9) from BAS brake booster (A7/7)	: Check rubber seal of vacuum line (9) for damage; replace if necessary. Reduce vacuum in the BAS brake booster (A7/7) by operating the service brake several times.
8	Disconnect electrical connector from brake vacuum sensor
9	Remove left cover below instrument panel	Model 463.234/242/272/273/348 as of model year 2015 up to model year 2019	AR68.10-P-1500GW
10	Remove brake light switch	Model 463 as of model year 2015 up to model year 2019	AR42.10-P-0040GW
11	Remove safety clip (4) and mounting bolt (3)	: Check mounting bolt (3) for wear and damage; replace if necessary. : Replace cotter pin (4).
12	Unbolt nuts (13) Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
		Nut, brake pedal bearing bracket at brake booster	*BA43.10-P-1004-01B
13	Remove BAS brake booster (A7/7) with master brake cylinder (7)	: Replace seal on firewall.
14	Install in the reverse order
15	Bleed brake system	Model 463 (except 463.270/271) as of model year 2015 up to model year 2019	AR42.10-P-0010GW
	Check
16	Check brake system for leaks	Model 463.242 as of model year 2015 up to model year 2019 with code 979 (Special protection MB Guard) Model 463 as of model year 2015 up to model year 2019 except code 979 (Special protection MB Guard)	AR42.10-P-0100-01A
17	Carry out brake test on the test stand
18	Check brake light switch for proper operation
