Otherwise the assessment may be incorrect. If a crack length (x) is ≥ 25 mm (0.98 inches) split open cracks or score marks are deeper than 0.5 mm (0.02 inches), or severe corrosion is present, ↓ replace steel brake discs (1). If soiling (e.g. oil, grease) is present. ↓ Clean steel brake discs (1), and replace if necessary. |

| If outer wear bore (11), center wear bore (12) and the inner wear bore (13) are visible, ↓ the steel brake discs (1) are OK; new brake pads can still be installed on the disks. If the inner wear bore (13) is visible, ↓ the steel brake discs (1) are OK, the current brake pads can still be used, do not install any more new brake pads onto the steel brake disks (1). If none of the three wear bores are visible, ↓ replace steel brake discs (1). If, in exceptional cases, assessment of the steel brake discs (1) is not possible by means of a visual check, ↓ check steel brake discs (1) for condition. |
