	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  . Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Disconnect left front ABS rpm sensor connector (X62/26) or right front ABS rpm sensor connector (X62/27)	The connectors are fitted at the left and right in the engine compartment to the wheel well paneling.
2	Raise vehicle with vehicle lift	Model 463 (except 463.270/271) as of model year 2010 up to model year 2013	AR00.60-P-1000G
3	Release electric feed line of rpm sensor from all holders	Route electric feed line free of tension and chafing.
4	Unscrew bolt (1)
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
		Self-locking bolt, rpm sensor to steering knuckle	*BA42.30-P-1001-01B
5	Remove left front rpm sensor (L6/1) or right front rpm sensor (L6/2)	Model 463 (except 463.270/271) with rear axle 748 up to model year 2013	AR42.30-P-0160GH
6	Lightly grease mounting hole in steering knuckle	ABS sensor grease	*BR00.45-Z-1019-06A
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Read out and erase fault memory
