	Remove

1	Remove rear wheel
		Model 460, 461 with drum brakes on the rear axle Model 463 up to model year 2019 with drum brakes on the rear axle	AP40.10-P-4050G
2	Remove retaining bolt (122)	Replace safety screw (122).
3	Release parking brake and detach brake drum (119)	If the brake drum (119) cannot be detached, release the brake shoes by turning back the automatic adjuster (53a): ↓
		Adjust automatic brake adjuster.	AR42.10-P-0169-01GG
		Clearance of brake shoes Clearance of brake shoes	*BE42.10-P-1001-13A
4	Unhook return spring (124) and press back the brake shoes	Removal and installation tool	Fig 2
5	Remove bolt (77) and remove automatic adjuster (53a)
	Install
6	Install automatic brake adjuster (53a).	Position automatic adjuster (53a) in the center of the elongated hole in the brake carrier plate. Slightly tighten the bolt (77).
		Apply light coating of grease to bolts (1). Snap transfer elements (2) into notches in bolts (1).
		Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20	*BR00.45-Z-1005-06A
7	Insert brake shoe into groove in transfer elements (2) and attach lower return spring (124)	Ensure that the lower return spring (124) is correctly seated.

11	Install rear wheel

	Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.	Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
12	Push down brake pedal several times	Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.
