Notes On Installing Brake Hoses - AH42.10-P-9406-01XG
Model 463 as of model year 2019
Only brake hoses approved by Mercedes-Benz may be installed. When connecting the brake hoses, do not install these twisted (install free of twists). An adequate distance from other axle components must be guaranteed in all driving situations.
Exception: Under certain driving conditions (e.g. maximum steering movement and compression/rebound conditions), unstressed contact of the brake hose with fixed component parts is permissible.
There are two elevated sections on the connector (arrow) of the brake hose which lock the brake hose in the multi-point profile of the bracket.
On the front axle with fixed-caliper brake system, check condition of retaining springs (2, 6) and replace if necessary.
Otherwise, tight seating of the brake lines (1, 5) is not guaranteed.
Ensure that the retaining springs (2, 6) are correctly installed.
On the front axle with floating caliper brake system, check condition of retaining spring (2) and replace if necessary.
Otherwise, tight seating of the brake line is not guaranteed.
Ensure that the retaining spring (2) is correctly installed.
The sealing rings of the banjo bolt (5) are intended for reuse.
Check condition of sealing rings of banjo bolt (5).
Otherwise, leak tightness of the brake system is not guaranteed.
On the rear axle, check condition of retaining spring (11) and replace if necessary.
Otherwise, tight seating of the brake line is not guaranteed.
Ensure that the retaining spring (11) is correctly installed.
The sealing rings of the banjo bolt (7) are intended for reuse.
Check condition of sealing rings of banjo bolt (7).
Otherwise, leak tightness of the brake system is not guaranteed.
