Location
The seat heater control unit is located on the seat frame of each seat.
Tasks
The driver seat heater control unit communicates over the driver seat LIN (LIN B18) with the driver seat control unit (N32/1). Depending on the request involved, the driver seat heater control unit actuates the following heater pads directly:
- Left front seat cushion heater pad (R13/1)
- Left front backrest heated cushion (R13/2)
For temperature control of the seat heater, the driver seat heater control unit reads in the signals from the following temperature sensors directly:
- Left front seat cushion heater pad temperature sensor (R13/1 b1)
- Left front backrest heater pad temperature sensor (R13/2b1)
The front passenger seat heater control unit communicates over the front passenger seat LIN (LIN B19) with the front-passenger seat control unit (N32/2).
The front passenger seat heater control unit actuates the following heater pads directly:
- Right front seat cushion heater pad (R13/3)
- Right front backrest heated cushion (R13/4)
For temperature control of the seat heater, the front passenger seat heater control unit reads in the signals from the following temperature sensors directly:
- Right front seat cushion heater pad temperature sensor (R13/3b1)
- Right front backrest heater pad temperature sensor (R13/4b1)

Location
The rear seat heater control unit is located behind the left seat belt buckle under the rear bench.
Tasks
The rear seat heater control unit communicates with the rear SAM control unit via the heater LIN.
The rear seat heater control unit actuates the following heater pads directly depending on the request involved:
- Left rear seat surface heater pad (R13/5)
- Left rear backrest heater pad (R13/6)
- Right rear seat surface heater pad (R13/7)
- Right rear backrest heater pad (R13/8)
