	Remove/install
1	Disconnect ground line at on-board electrical system battery.		AR54.10-P-0003XG
2	Remove upper B-pillar trim together with seat belt end fitting on front seat.		AR68.30-P-4703XG
3	Remove screw (3) and remove seat belt guide bracket (4).	Bolt/nut on front seat belt guide bracket	*BA91.40-P-1002-01C
4	Remove retaining clip (5).
5	Detach air duct (6) and swivel inwards.
6	Remove screws (7, 11).	Bolt on front seat belt retractor	*BA91.40-P-1004-01C
7	Remove seat belt retractor (9) from B-pillar until electrical connectors (8, 10) are accessible.
8	Disconnect electrical connectors (8, 10).
9	Remove seat belt retractor (9).
10	Dispose of the removed belt retractor (9) properly.	When replacing the seat belt retractor (9).
11	Install in reverse order.
	Initial startup
12	Perform commissioning of PRE-SAFE® system with vehicle diagnosis system.	When replacing the seat belt retractor (9).

13	Check the seat belt slack reduction function.	The function must be activated in the instrument cluster.
