	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (at least 2 m).
2	Remove ground line at battery.	Model 463 (except 463.234/236/241/242/248) as of model year 2017 up to model year 2019 with code ZU8 (National version for USA) except code 979 (Special protection MB Guard)	AR54.10-P-0003GW
3	Remove roof lining.	Model 463 (except 463.202/242) as of model year 2017 up to model year 2019 with code ZU8 (National version for USA) except code 979 (Special protection MB Guard)	AR68.30-P-4300GW
4	Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) from left window airbag squib (12/22) or right window airbag squib (12/23).	Make sure that electrical connector (1) engages properly.
5	Unscrew nuts (2) from gas generator cover (3).
6	Remove gas generator cover (2).
7	Unscrew the bolts (5).	Model 463 as of 12/1/00 as of model year 2017 up to model year 2019 with code ZU8 (National version for USA) except code 979 (Special protection MB Guard) Bolt, window airbag unit to roof frame	*BA91.60-P-1005-01B
8	Insert a suitable pair of pliers through the openings (arrows A), press the tabs (arrow B) together and remove the clamps (4).
9	Detach window airbag unit (6) from roof frame.
10	Install in reverse order.
	Check
11	Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.	When replacing the window airbag unit (6).
