Remove/Install Driver Knee Airbag - AR91.60-P-0200XG

WARNING Risk of injury  during testing and repair operations related to pyrotechnical components Do not expose pyrotechnical component parts to temperatures above 100 °C or 212 °F. Disconnect current supply when working on such component parts. AS91.00-Z-0008-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Adjust steering column upwards.    
2 Adjust driver's seat to the rear.    
3 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (at least 2 m).    
4 Disconnect ground line of battery.   AR54.10-P-0003XG
5 Remove screws (2) and lower driver knee airbag (1) until electrical connector (3) is accessible. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, knee airbag to holder *BA91.60-P-1008-01B 
6 Release and disconnect electrical connector (3). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Make sure that the electrical connector (3) engages properly.  
7 Remove driver knee airbag (1).    
8 Install in reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
9 Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system. When replacing the driver knee airbag (1).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
