Interior illumination (IBL) in general
The interior illumination (IBL) includes all lamps in the vehicle interior. Individual light functions are activated or deactivated depending on the requirements of the user and the condition of the on-board electrical system. The master control unit for the interior illumination is the SAM control unit (N10) up to 02.04.2018 and it is the front SAM control unit (N10/6) as of 03.04.2018.
The interior illumination consists of the following subfunctions, which are described in separate documents:
