Component Description Of Headlamp Range Adjustment Control Unit - GF82.10-P-2112GW
Model 463 (except 463.342)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019
Model 463.342
Location
Headlamp range adjustment control unit is located on the right, next to the air conditioner housing.
Tasks
The headlamp range adjustment control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of sensors and signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
- Transmitting signals
Reading in of sensors and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Chassis CAN 1 (CAN E1) (as of 01.09.2015) or chassis CAN 2 (CAN E2) (up to 31.08.2015)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Rear axle headlamp range adjustment level sensor (A51)
- Front axle headlamp range adjustment level sensor (A52)
- Left headlamp range adjustment actuator motor (E1m1) (diagnostic data)
- Right headlamp range adjustment actuator motor (E2m1) (diagnostic data)
Chassis CAN 1 (as of 01.09.2015) or chassis CAN 2 (up to 31.08.2015)
The signals are read in by the headlamp control unit via chassis CAN 1 (as of 01.09.2015) or via chassis CAN 2 (up to 31.08.2015).
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors are evaluated by the microprocessor and the corresponding components are actuated.
Actuation of components
The following components are actuated via direct lines:
- Left headlamp range adjustment actuator motor
- Right headlamp range adjustment actuator motor
Transmitting signals
The following signals are also transmitted via chassis CAN 1 (as of 01.09.2015) or via chassis CAN 2 (up to 31.08.2015):
- Rear axle level
- Level of front axle
- Fault messages
