Remove/Install Engine Hood Catch - AR88.40-P-3201XG

	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood and raise to upright position.		AR88.40-P-1000XG
2	Remove screws (1) at hood catch upper part RH (2) and/or hood catch upper part LH (3).	Bolt on upper section of engine hood catch	*BA88.40-P-1003-01D
3	Remove hood catch upper part RH (2) and/or hood catch upper part LH (3).
4	Mark installation position of hood catch lower part LH (5) and/or hood catch lower part RH (6).
5	Remove screws (4) at hood catch lower part LH (5) and/or hood catch lower part RH (6).	Take into account any possibly present shims. Bolt on engine hood catch	*BA88.40-P-1004-01D
6	Remove hood catch lower part LH (5) and/or hood catch lower part RH (6) from radiator crossmember until electrical connector (7) can be accessed.
7	Disconnect electrical connector (7) at hood RH contact switch (S62/42) and/or hood LH contact switch (S62/43).
8	Release lugs (arrows A) at hood RH contact switch (S62/42) and/or hood LH contact switch (S62/43).
9	Remove hood RH contact switch (S62/42) and/or hood LH contact switch (S62/43) in direction of arrow (B).
10	Detach hood cable (8) at hood catch lower part LH (5) and/or hood catch lower part RH (6).
11	Remove hood catch lower part LH (5) and/or hood catch lower part RH (6).
12	Mark installation position of safety hook (9).
13	Remove screws (10) at safety hook (9).	Bolt on safety hook	*BA88.40-P-1005-01D
14	Remove safety hook (9).
15	Install in reverse order.
