Wiring diagram of backup assist (BA)

1. Detach 13-pin trailer hitch socket (X58) from bracket.
2. Detach housing from 13-pin trailer hitch socket (X58).
3. Install new housing with backup assist cutoff microswitch (X58s2).
4. Connect the connector of shop-made cable set to backup assist cutoff microswitch (X58s2).
5. Connect (yellow) cable (a) of shop-made cable set to pin 2 of 13-pin trailer hitch socket (X58).

6. Route shop-made cable set through gasket of 13-pin trailer hitch socket (X58) along existing trailer hitch cable set.

7. Route (brown) cable of shop-made cable set above fuel tank along the frame
8. Connect (brown) cable to frame ground (W30).

9. Route shop-made cable set through grommet into battery compartment.

10. Install rear fog lamp cutout relay (K52) with base in battery compartment.
11. Connect (yellow/black, yellow/black and yellow) cables of shop-made cable set to rear fog lamp cutout relay (K52).
