Location

The DC/ac converter control unit is located under the front passenger seat (up to production date April 2nd, 2018 or Model 463.342) or in the load compartment behind the right rear wheel arch (as of production date April 3rd, 2018 (except Model 463.342)).

Task

The DC/AC converter control unit converts the on-board electrical system direct voltage into an alternating voltage of 115 V. The 115V (X58/34) socket can be used to connect small electrical devices that require an alternating voltage, (e.g. video game consoles, mobile phone chargers).

The maximum available electrical continuous load is P = 150 W, for t = 2 s up to P = 300 W is briefly permissible.

The DC/AC converter control unit supplies the microswitch in the socket with voltage. If a consumer is connected to the socket, voltage is switched through to the control input of the DC/AC converter control unit.
