	Remove/install
1	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100CW
2	Remove rear wheel		AR40.10-P-1102A
3	Remove cover from spring control arm (2)
4	Release fender liner in rear fender in area of shock absorber (1)		AR88.10-P-1400LWE
5	Disconnect electrical connectors (6) and place lines to one side	If electrically adjustable shock absorbers (1) are installed.
6	Unscrew nut (3)	Self-locking nut, shock absorber to spring control arm	*BA32.25-P-1001-03P
7	Prop up spring link (2) using a suitable hydraulic lifting device and remove bolt from spring link (2)
8	Remove screws/bolts (5)	Bolt, shock absorber to body	*BA32.25-P-1002-03P
9	Press shock absorber (1) together and remove upward	: Ensure that the cutouts (arrows a) in suspension strut mount (12) match with the elevations (arrows b) in the body.
	Check
10	Check shock absorber (1), suspension strut mount (12) and seal (13) for damage and leakage	The shock absorber (1) is only available as an assembly with the suspension strut mount (12). If a problem arises ↓ Replace shock absorber (1).
11	Install in the reverse order
