The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. This must be similarly performed for damage to the right side of the vehicle.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and the manufacturer's specifications for the curing and processing time of 2-component adhesive.
- Apply sealant to B-pillar (1) in crosshatched area.
- Install fit and fix in place B-pillar (1) using
portal straightener.
Use spacers.

Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow welding area to cool down in between. Heat distortion can thus be reduced.
- Surface-grind inert gas weld (area C).
Only surface-grind at bead areas and contact surfaces of rear fender.

Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow welding area to cool down in between. Heat distortion can thus be reduced.
- Remove portal bracket.
- Install, fit and fix in place support (3).

Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow welding area to cool down in between. Heat distortion can thus be reduced.
