| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Completely open front door | ||
| 2 | Move side window to lowest position | ||
| 3 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||
| 4 | Unscrew bolts (2) | ||
| 5 | Remove cap (6) in area of door handle (5) with a suitable tool and unscrew bolt below it | ||
| 6 | Remove cover (20) and unscrew bolt (21) below | Model 238.4 |

| 7 | Reach into outer area (arrows a) of door pocket (3) on left and right and detach door lining (1) from front door by pulling with a jerk | Detach door lining (1) by hand. The door lining (1) can be damaged when using the assembly wedge. Helper required. |

| 8 | Unclip remaining retaining clips on door lining (1) up to inner sealing rail (arrow A) | ||
| 9 | Carefully remove door lining (1) from inner sealing rail up to height of release button (4) (arrow B) starting at front | ||
| 10 | Remove door lining (1) in direction of arrow (arrow D) and carefully lift it off the front door (arrow C) in the area of the door lock | ||
| 11 | Remove door lining (1) upward from front door until electrical connectors and the wire on door handle (5) are accessible | ||
| 12 | Unhook wire on door handle (5) from mount | ||
| 13 | Unlock electrical connectors from front door control unit and disconnected | ||
| 14 | Release and disconnect electrical connector on speaker | ||
| 15 | Remove door lining (1) | ||
| 16 | Install in the reverse order |
