Remove/Install Soft Top Bow Locked Down Limit Switch - AR77.39-P-3705LWR

WARNING Risk of injury  . Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  when performing check and repair work in area of roll bar Keep body parts out of the area where the roll bars extend.
Do not use the cover in the area of the roll bar as a storage place for objects.

REMOVING Remove     
1 Move soft top to repair position R2   AR77.30-P-1030LWR 
2 Cover rear left and right fender    
3 Knock rivet (1) off of soft top frame (2) and remove rivet residues IMPORTANT Helper required.  
4 Expose wiring harness (3) and cut area of retaining clips (4) NOTES
Cut wiring harness (3) so that the repair point is not stressed mechanically when opening or closing the soft top.
Otherwise the repair point can be damaged.
 
5 Remove left soft top bow locked down limit switch (S84/6) or right soft top bow locked down limit switch (S84/7)    
INSTALLING Install     
6 Shorten electrical lines of new left soft top bow locked down limit switch (S84/6) or new right soft top bow locked down limit switch (S84/7) to corresponding length If necessary.  
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling fumes during soldering. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated. Secure power supply cables. Avoid sources of fire in working area. AS00.19-Z-0002-01A
7 Solder electrical lines of new left soft top bow locked down limit switch (S84/6) or new right soft top bow locked down limit switch (S84/7) to wiring harness (3) and insulate

    SPECIAL TOOL Reflector Fig 4
    SPECIAL TOOL Adapter Fig 7
8 Protect repair point with fabric tape after repairing line   AR00.19-P-0100-08A
9 Rivet left soft top bow locked down limit switch (S84/6) or right soft top bow locked down limit switch (S84/7) to soft top frame (2) IMPORTANT Pay attention to installation position. Helper required.  
10 Remove retainers for repair position from soft top mechanism    
11 Remove cover on rear left or right fender    
12 Completely close soft top
