Remove And Route Tensioning Cables Of Roof Lining - AR77.33-P-2501-01G

1. Move soft top to repair position R3.
2. Knock off rivet (7b) and remove rest of rivet.

   Tensioning cables (3, 7) are fastened together at rivet (7b).

3. Guide tensioning cable (3) through eyelets.

   If necessary, mark routing of tensioning cable (3).

4. Press tensioning cable (3) out of mounting strip (9) using a suitable tool and cut off clamping ring (14).
5. Remove tensioning cable (3) from mounting strip (9).
6. Pull new tensioning cable (3) through bracket of mounting strip (9).

   New tensioning cable (3) has a silver marking on ring eyelet.

7. Press clamping ring (14) onto new tensioning cable (3) using a suitable tool and install in bracket of mounting strip (9).

   Press clamping ring (14) so that dimension "a" is 3.5 ±  0.5 mm and dimension "b" is 3.75 ±  0.25 mm.

8. Route new tensioning cable (3) according to previously applied markings.

   Check tensioning cable (3) is routed correctly.

9. Rivet ring eyelet of new tensioning cable (3).

   Before riveting, ensure that tensioning cable (3) is not twisted, crossed, or offers excessive resistance.

   Otherwise the roof lining will be damaged when actuating the soft top mechanical components.
