Cut Out Panoramic Sliding Roof Frame - AR77.21-P-0801-01LWO

WARNING Risk of injury  due to snapping or warming up of cutting wire and due to splinters when cutting out glued panoramic roofs Wear cut-proof gloves and safety glasses. AS77.21-Z-0002-01A

IMPORTANT Helper required to cut adhesive beads.

  1. Cove adjacent paint surfaces with SPECIAL TOOL shields.

    NOTES Cover adjacent paint surfaces with SPECIAL TOOL shields when cutting.

    Otherwise paint can be damage by cutting wire.

  2. Punch through adhesive bead at rear right corner on front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) with pull-in aid (3) as shown and guide cutting wire through.

  3. Cut adhesive bead (2) on front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) in cutting area (A).

  4. Cut adhesive bead (2) at front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) in cutting area (B) up to right reinforcement (1.2).

  5. Punch through adhesive bead at rear flange on front panoramic sliding roof frame (3) with pull-in aid (1) as shown and guide cutting wire through.

  6. Cut adhesive bead (2) on front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) in cutting area (C).
  7. Punch through adhesive bead at rear left corner on front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) with pull-in aid (3) as shown and guide cutting wire through.

  8. Cut adhesive bead (2) on front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) in cutting area (D).

  9. Cut adhesive bead (2) on front panoramic roof frame (1) in cutting area (E) up to left reinforcement (1.1).
  10. Insert SPECIAL TOOL assembly wedge behind left reinforcement (1.1) between front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) and side roof frame.

    IMPORTANT Lift front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) with SPECIAL TOOL assembly wedge and guide cutting wire below left reinforcement (1.1).

  11. Cut adhesive beads (2, 3) on front panoramic roof frame (1) in cutting area (F) up to right reinforcement (1.2).

    IMPORTANT The profiling at the front of the roof frame can make it difficult to cut through the glue beads (2, 3), because the cutting wire runs directly on the sheet metal flange.

  12. Insert SPECIAL TOOL assembly wedge behind right reinforcement (1.2) between front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) and side roof frame.

    IMPORTANT Lift front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) with SPECIAL TOOL assembly wedge and guide cutting wire below right reinforcement (1.2).

  13. Cut adhesive bead (2) on front panoramic sliding roof frame (1) in cutting area (G).
