Location
The ambiance illumination control unit is located in the front passenger footwell behind the cover.
Tasks
The ambient lighting control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of signals
The ambiance illumination control unit reads in the following function-relevant information over the interior CAN, among other things:
- Luminosity and color with which the ambiance illumination is to be realized
- Terminal status of terminal 15
- Status of central locking
- Status of the front doors
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The components are actuated via the following lines:
- Left front door ambiance illumination LIN (LIN B30)
- Right front door ambiance illumination LIN (LIN B31)
- Cockpit ambiance illumination LIN (LIN B34) (transmission 725 or With Code 464 (Digital instrument cluster full display))
- Vehicle interior ambiance illumination LIN (LIN B35)
Left front door ambiance illumination LIN
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the left front door ambient lighting LIN.
Right front door ambiance illumination LIN
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the right front door ambient lighting LIN.
Cockpit ambiance illumination LIN (transmission 725 or With Code 464 (Digital instrument cluster full display))
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the cockpit ambient lighting LIN.
Vehicle interior ambiance illumination LIN
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the vehicle interior ambient lighting LIN.
