Location
The KEYLESS-GO control unit is located on the left behind the side trim in the trunk (Model 238.3) or on the right under the cover in the trunk recess (Model 238.4).
Tasks
The KEYLESS-GO control unit has the following purposes:
- Reading in of sensors
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- KEYLESS-GO LIN (LIN B27) (With Code 871 (HANDS-FREE ACCESS))
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via a direct line:
- Driver door KEYLESS-GO door handle (A17/5) (with code 889 (KEYLESS-GO) or with code 896 (Vehicle access and drive authorization via mobile phone))
- Passenger door KEYLESS-GO door handle (A17/6) (with code 889 (KEYLESS-GO))
- FM 1, AM, CL [ZV] and KEYLESS-GO antenna amplifier (A2/18)
KEYLESS-GO LIN (With Code 871 (HANDS-FREE ACCESS))
The signals from the rear switching module (N38) are read in by the KEYLESS-GO LIN.
Interior CAN
The signals are read in by the KEYLESS-GO control unit via the interior CAN. The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- FM 1, AM, CL [ZV] and KEYLESS GO antenna amplifier
- Trunk KEYLESS-GO antenna (A2/35)
- Left front door KEYLESS-GO antenna (A2/38) (with code 889 (KEYLESS-GO))
- Right front door KEYLESS-GO antenna (A2/40) (with code 889 (KEYLESS-GO))
- Center console KEYLESS-GO antenna (A2/60)
- Wake-up line to electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)
