| 1 | Remove left-hand air filter housing | AR09.10-P-1151MND | |
| 2 | Remove soundproofing of left rail | ||
| 3 | Release and disconnect electrical connections (1) | ||
| 4 | Remove screw/bolts (2) | ||
| 5 | Pull ignition coils (3) with spark plug connectors upwards and out | ||
| 6 | Check ignition coils (3) and the spark plug connector for damage | If damage is present ↓ Replace ignition coils (3) and the spark plug connector. |

| 7 | Discharge approx. Apply about 1 g of spark plug connector grease to the spark plug connector | To reduce the withdrawal and attachment forces the spark plug connector grease must be applied. Otherwise the spark plug connectors will be damaged upon renewed removal. |
