  Risk of fire  due to ignition of R1234yf refrigerant on hot components. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with escaped R1234yf refrigerant and when working on pressurized parts. Risk of explosion  due to formation of ignitable refrigerant/air mixtures Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air-conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated. WARNING Risk of injury.  Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Drain off coolant of engine cooling system   AR20.00-P-1142MNE
2 Drain off coolant in the low-temperature circuit   AR09.41-P-6834MNE 
3 Drain air conditioning system   AR83.30-P-1760LW
4 Remove fan unit   AR20.40-P-5050MNE
5 Remove additional engine radiator   AR20.20-P-3867MNE
6 Remove lower coolant line on radiator package TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6 x 1 *BA00.10-P-1002-04A 
7 Remove refrigerant lines from condenser TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut/bolt, refrigerant line to condenser *BA83.30-P-1006-01R 
8 Release and disconnect electrical connection of the pressure sensor from condenser    
9 Remove brackets (5) of additional engine radiator    
10 Unclip front air duct segment (4) on cooling module (2)    
11 Detach all coolant hoses (3) at radiator and at low-temperature circuit radiator (1)   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
12 Take out cooling module (2) in upward direction    
13 Unclip radiator low-temperature circuit (1) at cooling module (2) (arrows) and remove radiator low-temperature circuit (1)    
14 Install in the reverse order    
METRIC SCREWS/BOLTS AND NUTS AS PER MBN 10 105, 10 143
