1. Place illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) into front passenger footwell.

   The black 18-pin connector (2.4) of the illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) will be connected to the illuminated door sill molding control unit at a later stage.

2. Route brown line (BN) to right front footwell ground point (W15/7) and fix in place with cable ties.
3. Connect brown line (BN) at right front footwell ground point (W15/7) .

   A maximum of 5 connectors may be connected to a ground point. In the event of over-assignment another ground point should be selected.

4. Route right illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (2.2) along existing lines through cable duct and fix in place with cable ties.

   The right illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (2.2) is labeled. Route right illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (2.2) so that black 2-pin plug can be clipped into intended cutout at a later stage.

5. Route illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) into driver footwell.

   Use a pull-through device.

6. Route illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) to A-pillar and fix in place with cable ties.
7. Route left illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (2.1) along existing lines through cable duct and fix in place with cable ties.

   Route left illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (2.1) in such a way that the black 2-pin plug can be clipped into the provided cutout later.

8. Route red line (RD) to the left fuse and relay module (K40/6) and fix in place with cable ties.
9. Route twisted brown line (BN) and brown/red line (BN/RD) through cable duct to left interior CAN (CAN B) potential distributor electrical connector (X30/32) and fix in place using cable ties.
10. Attach black 2-pin connector of twisted brown line (BN) and brown/red line (BN/RD) to any free slot of left interior CAN (CAN B) potential distributor electrical connector (X30/32).

11. Unclip left fuse and relay module (K40/6).
12. Release locks (13) and move plug-in module (14) of left fuse and relay module (K40/6) in direction of arrow.
13. Unpin red line (RD) of illuminated door sill molding wiring harness from red fuse holder (2.6).
14. Pin red line (RD) of illuminated door sill molding wiring harness into left fuse and relay module (K40/6).
15. Push back plug-in module (14) of left fuse and relay module (K40/6) until locks (13) engage.

16. Install left fuse and relay module (K40/6).
17. Insert a fuse (15) with a fuse rating of 5 A in slot F220 of the left fuse and relay module (K40/6).
