Taxi/rental vehicle function, general 

The taxi/rental car function is implemented by the multifunction control unit and a specific vehicle wiring harness. The multifunction control unit controls and monitors different functions.

The specific vehicle wiring harness makes it possible to integrate the following equipment in the vehicle:

• Two-way radio (accessories) or radio data transceiver (accessories)
• Taximeter (with CODE 336 (Taximeter mounting console in OCP)) or mirror taximeter (with CODE 337 (Taximeter integrated into rearview mirror))
• Roof sign lamp (with CODE 342 (Roof sign connection for taxi))
• Card reader and printer (accessories)

The individual functions are enabled in part using the diagnostic tester.

The taxi/rental vehicle function consists of the following subfunctions, which are described in separate documents:

• Mirror taximeter function (with CODE 337 (Taximeter integrated into rearview mirror)) 
• Taximeter function (with CODE 336 (Taximeter mounting console in OCP)) 
• Hands-free system radio frequency function (with CODE 938 (Hands-free two-way radio)) 
• Emergency alarm, function (with code 934 (Taxi emergency alarm system))
